The Beatles-Collectibles and Memorabilia

February 8th, 2010 by David Gross | 2

Hi everyone! I have been receiving requests for a segment  exclusively on the Beatles. My feeling was with the plethora  Beatle sites, what could I do that might be different, interesting, and entertaining? While I in the immortal words of the Kingfish “mull over the situation,”  here is something you may enjoy.

A walk through Beatle Memorabilia with a few theme based videos as well.

After that first night on Ed Sullivan everyone walked into school with a Beatle  long hair so in honor of tomorrow February 9th, the first appearance  46 years ago, you too can have Beatle hair!

You know if you have that wig you’ll need to brush your hair more often

And who wouldn’t want to get woken up for school with a Yellow Submarine alarm clock?

Yellow Submarine

What about a free guitar? All you need to do is send 2 box tops to a company in Brooklyn and you could win!

And when you get that brand new guitar, you might need some strings.

Or could I interest you in a pair of Beatle sneakers?

Blue Suede Shoes

Maybe you just want to play a game that you are a Beatle and can flip your wig!

While you are playing, you really do need to listen to some Beatles music

You Can’t Do That

And since you will be buying 45′s with your allowance, you will need to put your money somewhere

Money

Here come the Beatle Dolls!!! You must remember the Remco Toy Company?

No collection would be complete without Bobbleheads no would it?

Somewhere in my house, hidden by my 5 year old daughter, is a very rare Beatle flip button. What makes it so rare is it says I Like BEATTLES. I am curious if it was meant for the Seattle market?

We Love the Beatles

And speaking of kids, no home would be complete without Beatle colorforms. You do remember colorforms?

Beatle Cartoons

So let’s drink a toast to the best band in the world! I guesss I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them!

Don’t forget your coasters!

Great info, Thanks David. Just a note for real fans, If you pick up the George Harrison produced `Jackie Lomax’ album on Apple, there’s a great surprise. The Harrison song ` Sour Milk Sea’ [which has Paul,Ringo,George, Eric Clapton,+ Nicky Hopkins] has George’s voice, bleeding through , burried in the left [right?] speaker. You can hear Lomax phrasing as close as possible, but impossible to synch exactly w/George. A thrown away Beatle track?? [ Certainly some amazing playing from all, and a must for any Beatle Fan] Thanks,
    Dave Donen

  2. Thanks David! A very interesting story
