Hi David. I love your site. It brings back so many wonderful memories, especially about Clay Cole. When I was around 8, growing up in Hoboken, NJ I used to watch his live show from Palisades Amusement Park every day! Imagine my job when I saw him on Facebook and we starting emaiing each other. I finally got to meet him in July of 2010 at RockCon in NJ. He was the greatest guy. I bought a copy of his book and loved it so much. We continued to keep in touch and they day before he passed away I got such a nice email from him. I still can’t believe he’s gone but he will never be forgotten and we have to get him into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That was his dream!

Just found an old poster of yours on the back of one of my mothers artwork. Not in the best condition, still interesting. Very readable: Star Showcases Present The Clay Cole Star Spectacular. Mosque Theatre, 1020 Broad St., Newark, NJ Sun. May 2, 8pm.
Thought you might enjoy some good ole’ memories!
Funny huh how things pop up? That’s the way she was. She used just about anything for her artwork backings when framing. Just like an artist.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your site … but I will!
I love the look, the ease of browsing, the stories, the memories and your unmatched collection of media memorabilia and vintage pop culture.

Just loved reading your blog…so much fun living vicariously thru you! I grew up on Long Island and had my own adventures…one being one of the “regulars” hanging out at the WNEW-TV studio when Soupy Sales had his tv show in the sixties. It was great going down there, hoping to be one of the ones to be picked to be in the audience to see the show being done that night!
